Remembering the Seventh of October

Today, we pause for a moment from our daily routine to unite in memory of the victims of the brutal terror attack of October 7, 2023.

Two years ago, the State of Israel experienced one of the darkest days in its history. Civilians, soldiers, entire families — were murdered, kidnapped, and wounded in an attack of hatred that sought to undermine our very existence.

We bow our heads in memory of all those we lost. Each name is a world unto itself, a life story brutally cut short. Our hearts are with the bereaved families who carry an indescribable grief.

Every day that passes, we carry a prayer and yearn for the return of all the hostages home, to their families.

We send wishes for a speedy recovery and complete healing to all those wounded in body and spirit, and we embrace those still coping with the scars.

On this day, we salute the soldiers of the IDF and all the men and women of the security forces, who stood and continue to stand in the breach, defending our home with dedication and supreme courage.
