What slow replies cost your clinic

In September 2026 we sent one WhatsApp message to 98 private clinics in Israel - mostly aesthetic medicine, alongside dental practices - and measured how long it took to get an answer. The figures below are what we found. The calculator turns them into shekels for your clinic.

1.5 hours
average wait for a first reply during working hours
14 hours
average wait at weekends and on holidays
6.1%
of enquiries got no reply at all - 6 clinics out of 98
Estimated lost revenue
₪35,541
per month
₪426,497
per year

56% of enquiries arrive when nobody is answering. That is 44.4 enquiries a month burned, and 8.9 patients who never got an appointment.

A Standard subscription costs ₪490 a month. The monthly loss is 73x that.

Your week, hour by hour

The clinic answers 50 of the week's 168 hours. Every blue square is an hour in which an enquiry waits with no reply.

Using the calculator as a clinic

What to enter

New enquiries are first messages and calls from people who are not your patients yet: WhatsApp, Instagram, the website form and missed calls. Existing patients moving an appointment do not count. The value of one patient is what a new patient brings over the first course of treatment, not a single visit: an implant plan or a series of laser sessions. For the hours, enter when someone actually replies to messages, not when the door is open. If reception answers WhatsApp only between patients, say so.

Why after-hours enquiries matter for a clinic

People think about a treatment in the evening, once the children are asleep, or at the weekend, when they finally have time to read about implants. That is exactly when they message several clinics at once. The first clinic to reply with a clear next step usually gets the consultation, and the rest get a polite "thanks, already booked". Aesthetic and dental enquiries are rarely urgent either, so someone left waiting until morning often just cools off.

What to do with the result

Treat the figure as an order of magnitude, not an invoice. If it is small, your front desk is working and there is nothing to fix. If it is large, look at the week grid: the blue hours show exactly where the gap is. Close the biggest block first, evenings, Friday or Saturday night, with a duty phone, an extra shift or an AI agent that answers and books on its own. To go through your numbers with us, use the WhatsApp button under the result.

Questions about the clinic calculator

Is the after-hours loss in the calculator measured or assumed?

Assumed, and the field says so. The in-hours loss comes from our measurement: 6.1% of enquiries got no reply at all. There is no measurement for the after-hours loss, so the default is conservative. If you know your own figure, replace it under "Refine the calculation".

Which types of clinic does the lost-revenue calculator cover?

Aesthetic medicine, dental clinics, cosmetology and beauty, plastic surgery, veterinary and physiotherapy, plus an "Other" option. The clinic type sets the starting point for patient value and for conversion to an appointment, and you can change both.

Why does the calculator ask about Friday and Saturday night?

Because that is where most of the hours clinics leave unanswered are. A clinic that answers on weekdays until the evening still leaves Friday afternoon and Saturday open, which is exactly when people have time to think about a treatment. The week grid under the result marks those hours in blue.

What does "Percent of enquiries that become a booked visit" mean?

Out of all new enquiries, how many end up booking. The calculator starts from a figure based on the clinic type, but if you track this number in your calendar or booking system, enter your own: it directly decides how many patients are lost.

Why does the result compare the loss with a subscription price?

To give a sense of scale. The calculator shows the price of one plan and checks whether the monthly loss is bigger. When the loss is smaller than the subscription, it says so plainly: that is a sign your clinic's answering works.
